# Set up your agent

Install the Platform Code skill, AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md so a coding agent builds with the registry, tokens and RTL rules.

A coding agent that builds UI needs the same project notes a person would: how to install, which components exist, and the rules that keep Arabic and English layouts correct. The skill teaches it once, and the files below keep it in the project.

## Install the skill

The skill is one Markdown file, published at `/.well-known/agent-skills/platform-code/SKILL.md`. Copy it into the folder your agent reads.

<Tabs items={["Claude Code", "Cursor and other agents"]}>
<Tab value="Claude Code">

```bash title="Terminal"
mkdir -p .claude/skills/platform-code
curl -fsSL https://dga.omqkhafi.dev/.well-known/agent-skills/platform-code/SKILL.md \
  -o .claude/skills/platform-code/SKILL.md
```

</Tab>
<Tab value="Cursor and other agents">

```bash title="Terminal"
mkdir -p .agents/skills/platform-code
curl -fsSL https://dga.omqkhafi.dev/.well-known/agent-skills/platform-code/SKILL.md \
  -o .agents/skills/platform-code/SKILL.md
```

</Tab>
</Tabs>

An agent that supports Agent Skills discovery can find it from the index at `https://dga.omqkhafi.dev/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json`. The index lists the skill with its `sha256` digest, so you can check the file you downloaded.

## What the skill teaches

| Topic | The rule |
| --- | --- |
| Install | `npx shadcn@latest init https://dga.omqkhafi.dev/r/dga.json`, then `npx shadcn@latest add @dga/<name>`. |
| Docs | Read `/{lang}/llms.txt` and the Markdown twin of each page, not memory. |
| Components | Use only components that exist in the registry. Never invent one. |
| Forms | Wrap every control in `Field`. |
| Direction | RTL first, with CSS logical properties. No `left` or `right`. |
| Tokens | DGA tokens only. No raw colours. |
| Digits | Western digits in technical content. Arabic-Indic digits only in Arabic citizen sample content. Never both in one view. |
| Contrast | Read [Deviations](/en/docs/deviations) before "fixing" a colour. |

## AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md

Two small files carry the same rules into the project. Each one is a block between `<!-- BEGIN PLATFORM-CODE -->` and `<!-- END PLATFORM-CODE -->`. Put the block in your own file and keep your text outside the markers, so a later update can replace the block and nothing else.

| File | Role | Download |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `AGENTS.md` | The Platform Code rules, read by Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other agents. | [AGENTS.md](https://dga.omqkhafi.dev/agents/AGENTS.md) |
| `CLAUDE.md` | An `@AGENTS.md` import, for Claude Code. | [CLAUDE.md](https://dga.omqkhafi.dev/agents/CLAUDE.md) |

```md title="CLAUDE.md"
<!-- BEGIN PLATFORM-CODE -->
@AGENTS.md
<!-- END PLATFORM-CODE -->
```

## Which tool reads which file

| Tool | Reads |
| --- | --- |
| Claude Code | `CLAUDE.md` (which imports `AGENTS.md`) and `.claude/skills/platform-code/SKILL.md`. |
| Cursor and other agents | `AGENTS.md` and `.agents/skills/platform-code/SKILL.md`. |
| Any agent | The [docs for agents](/en/docs/ai/llm) and the [MCP server](/en/docs/ai/mcp). |
